Yaaaaaaaawnn... what time is it... lets see released v1d in August... in 2023?!? Yeeaaaaah I haven't actually updated this in a little while. So lets change that! MACS v1e is now available! While not exactly the most feature filled update, I did try to aim for some of the requests that I have had over the year, like being able to pick your charge shot from all the shot type rather than being locked in, and copy weps now being able to be used with its own blend of balancing fun! For more info on whats changed, the change log up above should be now up to date. Also considering how long its been since I have updated, please be aware that your saved builds will be a bit out of wack, specifically in the sounds department due to me trying to maintain the order of those for a game by game basis, and also the damage values might be a bit up or down depending. So without further ado here is MACS V1e!

...well now that is done. Now I can go back to slee... wait there is more? Oh yes there is. As a added bonus I am also unleashing CBMxMACS! If the name isn't obvious it allows for cbm-v9gh and macs to shake hands and play nice with one another. I was told to try and avoid eating Mega for my shenanigans, so Toast is going to head out into combat as a backup. He will basically function as the make a class stand in, which will let it be easier for people to know what stuff is about to go down. Plus he needs to work off a bonus soda or two. So enjoy playing against your favorite classes with your favorite macs builds!

Weekly mod news 15/9/2024 "Code optimisation, ninja week & moving platforms"

Bloons mod: "ninja monkey week"
1. More ninja monkey HUDs done! Sai & Katanas included!
2. optimization of monkey code, Now I use item handlers to decide what version of a projectile the player shoots, speed increases are still done with jump states but are A_JUMP instead of A_JUMPIFINVENTORY. This was done not just to reduce file size but also kill two problems with one fix the other issue will come around in V3 of the mod.
3. Seeking shuriken gets buffed to have even stronger seeking abilities, if you aim at a bloon the moment you throw the shuriken it will seek it out unless if a wall is in the way.
4. sniper monkey also got the code optimization item treatment reducing file size by more than 50% per upgrade!
5. Flash bomb reworked to have a pierce cap of 20 but apply a new debuff "Stun" to all bloons caught in the explosion also the radius & height of the bomb was nerfed, 32 > 8 This makes it harder to hit the bomb but if it connects the explosion gets more bloons.
6. New debuffs!:
FlashBomb & ExplosiveStun: both do the same thing as they stun bloons in place for 4 seconds, Explosive stun does not affect black bloons
Distraction: applies a debuff that makes bloons move off course and unable to attack for 4 seconds! Does not affect MoabClass.
DistractFlashBomb: applies FlashBomb's ability & adds distraction's ability after the stun wears off.
7. stickybomb damage types apply a powerful bomb to moab class that explodes after a few seconds!

Plans for next week? I want to get a video done for the upcoming week. Mod focus is still on Bloons mod, this time will be aimed at the glue monkey and fixing his charge attacks and making other paths good competitors.

After implementing proper functionality of sticky bomb I found out that if I wanted the super monkey to still keep the role of "stronger than everyone but has expensive upgrades" I'd have to do some real good balancing to make him strong in the new version but not too strong or expensive. He's the most tanky class in the mod but his upgrades don't do him much so I'll have to thoroughly go through every upgrade to make him keep up with the newly reworked & buffed classes.

Here is who I have left to do before the final bloons mod touches:
Dart monkey (Done, just needs a little code optimization)
Boomerang (Pending rework)
Glue monkey/gunner (mostly done, needs buffs to other paths to make them hold a candle to the dominant top path)
Sniper monkey (Done)
Mortar monkey (Pending rework)
Super monkey (Pending rework, will be done last due to his more powerful & complex upgrades + balance)
Ninja monkey (Done, just need to add the Ninja melee weapons & Techniques to his shop)

For the True Dark Matter skin, maybe change the color of his...fin thingies? It would allow you to see what weapon he's using on his back/back-right frames? Just a suggestion.

Hello! Been a hot minute since I've posted, and since then, we've gotten a few submissions from our signup people!
I really appreciate the turnout so far; frankly, I'm a little surprised by it!

I'm posting again for a couple of reasons; the first is as a gentle reminder that there's only two weeks left! Remember, submissions will end by the end of the day on September 28th!

If you wanted to submit, make sure you set aside some time in the coming weeks to work on your weapon!

The other reason I'm posting is to give a small announcement; each of the judges plan to create and include their own weapons in the final pack, because we wanted to join in on the fun too. The big caveat with this is, obviously, the judge weapons will not be scored, and cannot win (or even place). We just wanted to make them for fun!

To give an example, here's my own creation, Plasma Spark, inspired by Kirby Super Star's Plasma ability!

Another gamemode backport..
Beacon Brawl
Spawns a beacon somewhere on the map, picking it up will lower the amount of points your team has based on the amount of nearby allies. Dying will give the target player your beacon. Lose all of your team's points to win.

I have added an emergency timer in case it spawns out of bounds, and the sprite will be replaced at some point.

Deathmatch
Pretty much a modified version of Arena, where it's Team Deathmatch instead.


I'm not sure what else to specifically add right now, but I am thinking of trying to recreate Capture The Flag next (you can't just switch the gamemode because of replaced actors)
