Welcome to the second month of Freezer Bowl Fridays!
This project is a collaboration between Trillster and myself to generate a community run gaming night in 8-Bit Deathmatch! Each week on Friday nights, we'll select a game mode or mod to host and run a server with it. If you've been wanting to scratch your itch for vanilla, have seen a cool mod you want to play with others, or even if you're brand-new to the game, this is the perfect opportunity to sit down, relax, and join the fun!
Each month, I'll put up a thread with a schedule showcasing what will be hosted each Friday. Trillster will make event threads in 8BDM's Discord server corresponding to each week.

Mega Man 8-Bit Deathmatch V6C Newsletter
Hey all you Mega Fans! My plan going forward with these newsletters are to post them somewhat regularly with just a couple changes we have at a time. While some changes may seem on the smaller side, trust me that we have a good amount of content backed up to show off to you all, but we gotta make it last! My general plan for the time being is to show off a smaller set of changes, followed by larger ones.
That said, I'm not going to leave you completely high and dry. I'll actually leave you wet because here's Splash Woman.


Splash Woman's stage is actually mostly the same as you remember it with two key differences worth talking about. The first is the return of the side route that was removed from V6B in all of its glory. Your Top Spin needs will be met, do not fret.
The second of which is just a general visual sweep of the map. Not so much an overhaul but some of the Mega Man 9 stages made it a little trickier to get things looking great, but the stage has been spruced up so it just looks prettier. Who knew those water platforms could do so much heavy lifting?
As for something a little more substantial...



We have doubled our train supply! Instead of fighting on one single train, Charge Man's stage will now take place on two trains riding together. A lot of the cars are the same as what you've known, but shuffled around, and the simple ability to jump between trains adds a lot of movement opportunities to a map that struggled with that exact thing.
A lot of the teleporters were also cut down, some due it just being two trains, and others replaced with fans to help take you to the other train quickly.
That's all for today! I'll try to keep things updated every two to three weeks as long as things continue on the pace they're currently at, so we'll see you again soon!

Cobra's MM8BDM mod updates
Weekly mod news 2/3/2025 "Polish, enemies & buffs!"
Bloons mod: "N/a"
1. n/a
Platformer mod: "More enemies and a buff to star crash?!"
1. Made more enemies use the proper sprite when dying to GravityHold.
2. Gave Rush a smile,
3. Did some more polish on Stone man's stage and made one segment a tiny bit easier.
4. new enemy: Tondeall! That one propeller enemy from MM5 that fires two shots at once 20 degrees apart.
5. new enemy: Tatepakkan! He blocks shots from the front and fires when his enemies are close just like a met but able to withstand more damage at the cost of firing one bullet per attack and can't turn.
6. Star Crash got a buff! The shield can now block a single projectile or it can be used to hit up to 3 times on a single enemy or targets each dealing 1 damage point each star (for every melee hit, the star crash barrier loses one star). Also throwing the star crash has three levels now, the number of stars means how much it will do. 1 star = 1 damage while 3 stars = 3 damage.
Other:
1. Worked on a new video! (Vclasses Shenans 7)
2. Published Monthly mod news February 2025!
Plans for next week? I want to work on either making a better looking stage select or a new stage in the upcoming week.

Wizards Convention - Wild Magic

Hello and welcome to the Wizard's convention! Take a seat or go for a walk around this place to learn more about all things wizardy and magical magics.
This mod focused around team play with various robot masters joining in donning their brand new and hot topic™️ wizard hats! You may have heard (or even played, or neither) of Wizcon a couple of years back, this is the mod's continuation, slowly rebuilt with some added spiciness now that there are a lot more features to work with.
All of the wizards have a preferred play-style and have adjusted their circuits to better represent their supposed element. There will be plenty more wizards joining in to the convention.
Currently intended for Capture the Flag, although it can be played in other team modes such as Team Deathmatch, Team Possession, etc.

Wild Magic
Upon slaying The Anomaly and returning your team's Flag/Skull, your team will receive a powerful team-wide buff.
Currently the buffs are: True healing regeneration (Unnafected by anti-heal), Self-Regenerating armor, speed buff and a damage buff. More buffs will be added in future updates.
Every one of the buffs provided by this orb does not persist after death.


Anti-heal
Taking any form of damage (Including but not limited to map hazards) applies anti heal to you for 5 seconds, which reduces healing received by the % displayed on the icon.
Anti-heal increases over time and has a cap. Most sources of healing from other mages is affected by anti-heal unless stated otherwise.
Vanilla health pickups are NOT affected by anti-heal.

The Nano Tower
The Nano Tower V10AH Released!
This minor hotfix version basically adds something that should have been added in V10A and also fixes some minor issues, but i unfortunately didn't had time to code it properly before the release even though everything was already planned by (TNTPT), with all the pressure of so many players on the community wanting to experience the mod and being so curious about it we had to release it without these changes.
This hotfix does not have a changelog in-game as it is not necessary, so i'll just list here what got added and what got changed:
#1 - Particle effects were added to the game, now your character can get wet with water or oil, burn in flames or get frozen, just hit your opponent with a weapon that has any of these characteristics or launch yourself at a terrain that has splashes and BAM!... Those does not change the gameplay of course, they are merely cosmetic but they can emit noises and light you up with dynamic lights so there's a chance you'll get spotted because of that.
#2 - Fixed and polished all actors that are spawned and attached to the player such as footstep sounds and buster charge particles. There were some bugs related to that, check issue #84 on the known issues tab at the main post.
#3 - The project's versioning got changed, now the "test" versions are only going to be used when a major version is released and once things are stabilized, they are going to be released as "stable". This gives us freedom to change the WAD at any time if a minor problem is found.
For the future, we have plans for the Terminator game mode, stay tuned.

What is Recreation? A community map pack that all the maps in are from other games, remade for 8bdm.Requirements are simple, the map featured should be at least recognizable as the map, and saying what the map is and what game it is from.
