Ring Man getting a serious glow up is very much appreciated- it's always been a bit of a funky map in the game, and usually not in a good way. This makes it look so much better, aesthetically and layout-wise. And the props are top notch!

Mega Man 8-Bit Deathmatch V6C Newsletter
Hey all you Mega Fans! We're going to be going for the every two week update going forward. It should all work out, but you'll be able to tell we're starting to stall for Zandro if I start just posting pictures of grass.
That said, let's get right to it and look at a couple of maps! Starting with Top Man!


The change to Top Man's stage consist almost entirely of the north side of the map. What was once a mostly straightaway bridge with a pit looming below it is now actual extensive rooms and geometry. It really just helps flesh out the weakest part of the map and helps the map feel more "balanced" as a whole, for the lack of a better term.
Plus the cat is here. That's always a good thing to have.
Now, let's take a look at something completely new.




Ring Man's stage has been completely redone! Don't worry, it's somehow still ring shaped, but it manages to work a lot better at being both shaped like a ring, and being a cohesive and fun map to play the game on. Throw in some more texture variety with the rainbow bridges (sorry, they are just for looking at, they won't be falling out from your feet today) and Ring Man's plethora of minibosses joining the fray, and being Ring Man has never been better.

The Nano Tower
Well, this is one of best mods I've played so far... Not just because it's very well made, but also for the very interesting gameplay and addiotional to the Vanilla content. And I have some things I want to mention about why I do think it's that great:
1. It's very "competitive friendly", where it allows you to use various combinations and strategies with the weapons setup you want to use that because of the balance changes and new gimmicks implemented, I didn't see any weapon that can be considered as useless or bad... different from the various class-based WADs or the Vanilla where there has weapons or itens that are just straight horrible or that has overpowered and nonsense bullshit, making it an whole different and better experience.
The stepping sound is also something really great, since it gives the run button a value instead of being useless because well... auto-run exists, and also because it makes the gameplay way more immersive where you and your enemies have to be cautious with the noises.
2. The artistic part of this WAD is also something that should be metioned here, the new Sprites, HUDs and Sounds made by Striker are very good, as artist myself I can say this is pretty great stuff right there. It looks way better than the Vanilla and other WADs' HUDs, that can look cool, but lack in anatomy, shading or its just bad lmao... UEC CutMan's HUD, what the fuck is that thing...
3. The original stuff, TNT Map and The Fog Guardian class, it looks very interesting and I do appreciate the concept of it. It gives this WAD personality, different of the other WADs that just look the same with a few things changed. Besides it looks pretty cool, BIG ROBOTS FIGHT RAAAHHHHHHHH
So, I rate the The Nano Tower.wad as 9/10, definitely an innovative idea for this game that both has so much potential, something that stands out in this sea of sameness that many unfortunately don't seem to care about... I hope this WAD gets the recognition it deserves.

The Nano Tower
Before I start talking about TNT itself, I wanted to make it clear that this WAD is easily the most innovative thing I've seen in this community in the 6 years I've been in it, and best of all, it's extremely functional.
Unlike other more famous WADs in the community such as CBM and its derivatives, TNT has the idea of improving the Vanilla version of the game, in addition to also being focused on being more competitive than other WADs. Unlike other community works that make each character in the Megaman series be their own character completely different from the rest, (which ends up making the game difficult to balance) the game is based on Vanilla, which means that the only thing that changes from one player to another are the weapons and items they use, which are chosen by the players before the matches begin. This may be seen by some as a bad thing because it apparently makes the game have less variety, but in practice it ends up doing the complete opposite, since everyone who plays will use certain weapons differently than another player, unlike what would happen with classes where you would have to play in a way that is appropriate for the character you are using, (you will never play Quickman as if he were a tank if you are not an idiot) and the fact that everyone has the same amount of HP, the same speed and the same capabilities, means that you will never have to deal with someone on the opposing team who is worth 2 players because of the amount of HP, who can choose their fights whenever and however they want because they are very fast or because they have an OP gimmick. Mix that with a WAD that has extremely well made HUDs, its own lighting system, all the weapon shots are 3D and well balanced and you have a competitive WAD that punishes you fairly when you screw up and rewards you for playing well.

Weekly mod news 16/3/2025 "Less than usual due to weird events, but still progress"

1. Wrote down some ideas for the future.
Platformer mod: "More shipments from the crystal mines."
1. More progress on Crystal man's stage
2. New enemy! Crystal Joe, it creates a crystal in front of himself that blocks shots (Napalm bomb & Gyro attack can shatter it leaving him stunned) then once he is done charging he fires the crystal forward.
3. Player ladder movement updated! Now if you hold down on a ladder you climb down instead of jumping off, the same is applied to all directions but with the appropriate movement. And Overall ladder movement speed buffed!
Plans for next week? I have a decent draft for about 40% of crystal man's stage, hopefully I can somehow manage to get the other 60% and start making Crystal man himself! I wonder how long that will take though...

For sure, the READ-ME file inside this WAD project hasn't been modified for over 3 years since when i got permissions from a mapper named Rozark to add it into The Nano Tower. Version V10A of The Nano Tower also took 2 years to be made and i wasn't focusing that much on the READ-ME file since i make the WAD alone and was more worried with its content than anything else, i ended up forgetting about it.
About stolen content, (TSPG) The Sentinel's Playground or All Fear The Sentinel which is the hosting service for those projects and servers does have strict rules about how stolen content can lead to the user who stole said content getting banned, The Nano Tower has a ton of original content created by my team and also me and while i understand the point about the community relying on collaborative efforts to progress, The Nano Tower didn't receive assistance from any parts of this community to be made, with only me programming everything into the project alongside with my team assisting me with Sprites and Sound Effects.

My skin making skills aren't at all perfect, but I'm doing my best to try and post stuff I've made.
All I have for now is a skin pack for the robot masters from the Fangame: Rock Man 4B. Created by ToNg. While most of these skins are accurate to the original sprites, I ended up making custom ones for Straw Man, with Rick Edwardson helping me with that skin's rotations.

Cobra's MM8BDM mod updates
Weekly mod news 9/3/2025 "More platformer news, this time in the crystal mines!"
Bloons mod: "N/a"
1. n/a
Platformer mod: "A lot of new enemies & the start of the shiny crystal mines!"
1. Worked on updating the stage select,
2. New enemy! Crab mine/Hirarian, these crabs cling to the ceiling until the player gets close, then they drop down and chase the player.
3. New enemy! Foojeen, this yellow vacuum robot shoots out three chunks of junk every few seconds while moving forward and turning at walls. It also hovers over spike pits! (Note you must place it above spikes or in a room between two walls & a flat floor due to it not having gravity)
4. Met pellet code optimized to be made as a base template for most enemy projectiles now!
5. I made a test map so I can thoroughly test anything I add to the mod!
6. New enemy! Bomier, these little propeller drones fly forward and drop a bomb when the player is beneath them then they fly away. "This is an enemy that needs to be spawned by **Linedefs** as it only moves forward and disappears when it hits a wall."
7. New enemy! Pukapucker, this floating head bobs up & down while following it's lower body that moves left to right on the ground. Both the head & body can be attacked but the moment the body dies the head will start bouncing around the stage!
8. Started making Crystal man's stage.
9. Crystal droppers are here and they are customizable! They can be set to drop faster & slower or have patterns, To change the patterns you must place a **CrystalDropperPM** and the TID it has will determine the pattern! So far there are a total of 10 patterns.
Other:
1. Published a new video! (Vclasses Shenans 7)
Plans for next week? My stage making mood is dying down, so I want to find something else to do so I don't experience early burnout.
