Today is my birthday, so what a way to celebrate than by updating my pack to V4B. 6 new copy weps and 2 buster upgrades have been added to add more variety to your matches, and also I have went through some of my old weps with some touch ups either in colors or the sprites themselves to bump them up in presentation a bit better. Did you ever have fun weapon combos you always wanted to play with? Did you ever want to test a dual ammo copy weapon asap when trying to code a funny ui mod and hopping in and out of the game? And did you ever want to pretend the Wily Wars part of the campaign actually felt a tiny bit more like Wily Tower? Then this mod is for you!

Weapon Loadout is a mod that allows you to pick a favorite buster upgrade and two copy weapons and lets you go to town with them. Its a pretty simple concept that was made for ease of testing weapon specifics outside of the training room, but I have gameified it a little bit allowing stuff like easy bans and limits on how much stuff that's handed out so it can be used in more ways than one.

To use this first you gotta load the mod and the you will have a message telling you to open your console to load WlMenu which then you are given this!



In here you will want to bind a key in order to open the in game loadout menu. Then once in game you press your button and BAM!



You can now select your weapons of choice! Now if bans are enabled or a slot is disabled, the weapon will appear in red letting you know that the weapon is not available for use. So make sure to pick ones that are! You might have also noticed a quick scroll option in the menu, well if you hold jump or just press jump depending on your setting, you will be able to scroll much faster through the enormously high weapon amounts 8bdm has had!

I am releasing it a bit earlier than anticipated, mainly because haha birthday, but in v6c it can potentially be better, so expect it to be a bit janky, at least online. Offline I have had no real issues though so go nuts.

Woof, sorry for the delay on this one. Here is the schedule for June's Freezer Bowl Fridays, with one coming up tomorrow! Apologies to all those who missed out on the Saxton one. Even if these schedules don't come out on time, joining our Discord is a good way to make sure you don't miss out on events like these!

Superbosses is fairly consistent theme of this month, with both Saxton and Terminator featuring supercharged players going up against other average Joes. We also feature some fun mods from yesteryear in Cutmanmike's classic Ghouls Vs. Humans in 8BDM form and Laggy Blazko's Instagib Springfield mod. Hope to see you all there!

I have to know, because finding information about this mod is scarce. Is there a list of songs this mod uses anywhere? I'm fond of the song that plays in the recolored airship, the Spearhead. It's got a bouncy tune and then switches to double time halfway through.


The mapcards should show the current music that's playing in the map, and as a bonus there's also the jukebox in the jewel satellite that has every song currently in the mod
Hey all you Mega Fans! We're back at it again with another V6C newsletter!

I'm going to open with the less than exciting news, is that while our every two week newsletter schedule has been fun and a blast, we're going to be delaying back to an every three week schedule. Believe it or not, we're not actually out of content to show, but it will get to a point very shortly where if we keep it on a two week schedule, I'm going to start only being able to show exclusively smaller changes for a post, and that's not exciting to me at all. I don't want to get everyone all riled up to see "That's right, we have changed this one hallway!" and nothing else exciting until two weeks later.
This way on an every three week schedule, I can feel good about the content we're showing off per newsletter, and we'll even mostly show off a little more than usual to make up for the extra week gap.

But, let's dive into this newsletter! Let's open with a map that's been remade more or less from the ground up!






That's right, it's time for a brand new Pharaoh Man!

This isn't the first time Pharaoh Man's stage has been reworked, but the last one focused on improving the outdoor area while keeping the interior mostly the same as it's been since v1. This rework changes pretty much everything about the map, both inside and outside, while keeping the same themes alive. You can't have Pharaoh Man in a 3D Megaman Shooter WITHOUT the pyramid to fight around, it just wouldn't be right. The interior of the pyramid has been completely redone while still keeping a labyrinth-y feel to it. And while the outside still goes around the pyramid, it's less so the big open space that it was before and has been broken up in different ways.

That said, if you are to explore the pyramid, you may even find hidden treasures inside...



That's right, Balloon Adapter is being added as a new assist item!

As you likely know in Mega Man 4, Balloon Adapter was more or less another version of Item-1, so it's seen quite a change up in 8-Bit Deathmatch. Firstly, upon using the item...



You will quickly deploy a balloon which will bounce in place. Climb on top of it and...



You will be quickly whisked up to the ceiling! You can move around here and can even disembark your balloon at any time. Doing so will cause the balloon to bounce again allowing you to get back on it if you can.



Now this is quite the powerful tool! It's as much height as possible, you can rain fire down upon your enemies, and it lasts for quite some time! It's just...



While you can ride your balloon for a good amount of time, it's best to remember it is still a balloon. And despite it's very powerful ability...



It's very easy to pop a balloon.

Weekly mod news 8/6/2025 "Starting winter with a bunch of visual changes! & plenty of additions"

Bloons mod: "New glue FX & projectile visuals? Also some hidden bugs were smashed"
1. New glue projectile FX
2. Patched a bug with MoabGlue/003Glue's charge attack, now it covers a wide area with a range limit.
3. Brand new Shield health mechanic added! (Currently unaccessable by both Monkeys & Bloons)
4. Applied new sounds to respective monkeys: Dart, Boomerang, Glue.
5. Made brand new explosion visuals! Applied to Mortar monkey shells & Ninja monkey bombs!
6. Mortar monkey code updated!
7. Early balance change: Default Mortar monkey shell pierce reduced: 30 > 25. But he gains a shovel that pops 2 layers a hit which makes up for it!
8. Fixed a bug with flash bomb & new explosives giving no money to the player, but that is fixed now!
9. Bloons can now have stun & Afterburn stacked on top of each other. Creating "StunBurning" which is just like "SuperGlueCorrosive" but fire.
10. Small code update to Bloons, regarding passing Dubuffs.
11. Ninja monkey icons optimized & implemented! + recode to caltrop & flash bomb reserves.

Plans for next week? I'm going to tackle more monkey code & try to get the new code for everyone else done before tackling the super monkey's sun avatar & robo monkey paths (Top & Middle, I've already updated the bottom path this week!).

I see, the Player16MM project is not present in (TSPG) anymore, this means it is now considered a lost media project and this is the closest thing i could find that is like it. In general, the Player16MM project is similar to this but it has way more options to toy with. It doesn't have a menu though, so you had to open the WAD and execute each script manually or execute very big commands that were already defined through the Alias function on the KEYCONF lump.

In general, you could spawn pretty much every actor in Doom and MM8BDM V5A to D through it, you could also do anything you want with your character like getting all types of invulnerability, nocliping walls, change its speed, set its translucency, etc. You could also set sector colors, brightness, fog, fog colors, height, and even make floors reflect with the Sector_SetPlaneReflection ACS function. And the funniest of all, you could teleport players to a specific place, to you or teleport yourself to others or a specific place.

Of course, all of that was only possible if you had RCON or if the server had SV_Cheats enabled.

In general, hosting servers with cheats and experimenting with this was what inspired me to learn more about the Doom Engine overall and seeing this again gave me lots of nostalgia of a time that will never come back.

If someone has the original player16mm.pk3 project within their computers, it would be very good if someone could upload it. However, it only works with V5A to V5D if i am not mistaken, so this mod here is the closes we have to it that is actually updated.
