The .ini files contains your settings like video/keybinds as well as your save progress, I'd advise just reinstalling MM8BDM, and replace the content of that reinstalled version's .ini by the content of your previous one

I don't know if this is the best place to post this, but do to the lack of motivation and time, I'm kinda lazy information do to the old forum's death and me not searching general Zandronum help , I can't find many info on this and don't see any support sub-forum so I will post this here.

Now to the point, I have changed computers some days a go, the previous was Windows 10 and now this one is Windows 11... no troubles passing most programs so far thankfully.
Now I did the mistake of passing almost all my files directly since I was in a bit of a rush. Meaning I didn't reinstall MM8BDM. I had the .ini file still when passing it like that. However when I opened MM8BDM I got all my data deleted.

However I named my user differently in this new computer than the old one, so I tried pasting the original .ini file (I passed the .ini file individually to another folder just in case something goes wrong along other profile/save files) and renaming it to the new Username my computer has, however now it shows up that 'Zandronum.exe not found'.

What should I do about this? Should I just reinstall MM8BDM (thought it would feel a bit bad considering some files have them saved with 2022 as a date and I have them like from a long time a go)? Should I do something more complex to solve this? Keep in mind I still have the original .ini file.

did you download the music file and load it in the command line parameters

edit: nevermind LOL i just realized that the download for the music file redirected to a 404 page, try downloading it again it should work now

Updating a file without giving it a new file name is still heavily discouraged regardless of the context. Sites such as DogSoft automatically mirror files from TSPG, but will not mirror updated versions if the file name has not changed. This can cause Wadseeker to download the outdated, incorrect file, preventing people from joining servers that use the new file.

Past that though, very cool mod.

Yeah. I replaced the original version with the revision since it was in a more broken state than I anticipated. I also felt that the state that it was in did not best represent the vision that I had for the mod while working on it with my brothers.

This is a joke mod, do not take this seriously

So I was bored and made this, why "Rathor" out of all the classes? because yes

Also, there are minor changes for the ogDUO and evil robot class.

Anyway, the changes are

Added jump sprites and jump shoot sprites to Rathor (all sprite credits go to Pegg)

Speed increased from 0.86 to 2.4 (quick man's speed in cbm is 1.2, so logically his speed would be twice that)

immediate ammo regen on all alt fires

Added FX for Rathor's dash attack + removed slowdown and time limit on how much you can hold the target

Significant Damage Increase to all weapons

Now you fire 10 Hell Discs!

And 3 hell vortexes with a different flame attack when they hit the ground

Red Sphere has been changed to a sort of Beam and OP one.

added extra sway shots

There are no changes to the shield because it's perfect as is!
Not Anymore Now The Shield heals you
Now the electric balls are 7 instead of 3 and shoot in a flower pattern.

A lot more lightning bolts !!!

Elec globs are now 7 and shot in an eye formation.

More Hell disc when you become visible again

A new meteor weapon alt-fire is a charge that releases a green black hole.

So, what is this mod? This is an edit of CBM, but Ra Thor is OP.

I uploaded this mod because why not?

NOTE: This is a joke version of CBM. Don't take this mod seriously, I made it in a few days (I have 0 coding knowledge and I had to learn by trial and error)

If this gets removed by mods for being stupid, I would understand it is ridiculous

[very untimely and unprofessional, but here we go.]

Hey everyone — I’m Brendan87. Some of you might already know me, but most probably don’t, and that’s totally fine! I won’t go into full detail about who I am, but rather why I’m here today.

On July 10th, 2020, the MegaMan 8-Bit Deathmatch Community Showcase was released. That video served as a gateway for many new players to discover the game and join the community — some of whom remain active to this day. I, too, first encountered the game through that showcase, and I’ve been a part of the community ever since.

To mark the fifth anniversary of that moment, I will be creating a special video highlighting every mod released since then. I understand this may raise some eyebrows, particularly because the video will also include class mods and CBM forks. I recognize that these types of mods aren’t to everyone’s taste, and many prefer more traditional, "vanilla" content — and that’s entirely valid. However, I kindly ask that we set aside those preferences, just for a moment.

Whilst there are differing opinions and/or tensions that may exist among developers and players alike, the fact remains that each of us is contributing to the growth of this community in our own way. The modding scene today may not resemble what it was during its peak years of 2014–2016, but times change, and so does the audience. Some of you have grown up alongside this game, having been part of the community since 2010. Others have joined in the past seven years and gravitate toward newer trends. Butto come together and celebrate the game that has brought us all together for so long — and the projects, both past and yet to come, that continue to grow from it.

The current release of Team Cooperative, v1a, has been updated. The new PK3 has been updated to address a few issues with some of the dialogue changed to fix the grammar as well as some bug fixes relating to certain maps within the mod and other issues which were unnoticed in the mod.
